Which brings me to my question. How do you manage all that you do and still find time to learn how to use an iPhone, iPad, make blog pages, website pages, answer facebook and twitter?!! It soooooo overwhelms me to learn all this techno stuff. I just don't even know where to begin most of the time.
My husband is the only reason I'm able to email. Colleen helps me with my website. I must have missed something when the technologically side of my brain was formed.
Please tell me I'm not alone? How do you do it all? Where do you go for help?
Diann,
ReplyDeleteI am with you i could not even figure out how to change my picture on my phone. So i always ask my niece Olivia!!! She figured out my phone one day and had never even seen one like mine lol. Good luck
IT's a lot isn't it? And it just keeps getting more complicated!! I go to Colleen and my kids. LOL
ReplyDeleteI wrote a post on that the other day. I would post a link, but it is scheduled for later. In a nutshell, I made the claim that it really isn't as important to keep up with all that stuff as many people think. We've reached the point where that stuff is more like the latest fad or the latest book. People who see a need for something should learn to use it, just like we should read the latest book if we have need for it. But just like there are plenty of books that we don't read and never intend to, we can skip many of the latest things and wait until something comes out that we do find useful.
ReplyDeleteDiann, ya know more then i do,
ReplyDeleteand I don't have help!
*couldn't afford if I did!
(* that's a yoke) :)
lol!!! i have a hard time too! my litle sis is the wiz. she helps me create my stuff. :)
ReplyDeleteI used to be on the cutting edge of technology. I was the first one of our circle of friends to get a computer, never had a problem programming the VCR, etc. But now I have 3 teenagers! And they are great at making me feel incompetent when it comes to technology. My 18 year old laughed at me when I didn't instantly figure out my cell phone and she had to show me how to use the advanced features. The good news is that I'm still good with technology, for my age group. So when my kids make me feel like a technological idiot, I can visit my girlfriends and show them what I do know.
ReplyDeleteI am blessed to be surrounded by techies. My husband works in the computer industry. My son, daughter, and son-in-law are all tech savvy. My son built his own computer. My daughter knows basic html. I do my own web site and blog and can do basic manipulation of photos. When I have a question I holler out to whoever I think is best suited and has the time to help me and I try not to mess up what they did. LOL I do have an Associates degree in Computer Programming from 30 years ago but have never worked in the field.
