Girls Write Out

I wanted to let you all know our beloved Diann Hunt went to be with the Lord at 5:03 PM yesterday. She is finally HEALED of the ovarian cancer that took her life on the earth, but she is truly living like never before in heaven. How she loved to laugh! And I know that wonderful laugh and zest for life will draw people to her in heaven the same way she drew us here on earth. God created one of a kind when He made Diann. We will miss her more than we can possibly say, and we are so grieved for her husband, kids and grandkids. She was an awesome friend and encourager to so many.

Don't forget to mark the airing of her Hallmark movie, For Better or For Worse, on July 12, 2014. She was so excited about it--we all are. Her obituary will be up at this website soon: http://mccombandsons.com. Please pray for her family as they face this unfathomable loss. And for us too as we grapple with this loss ourselves. We love you!

How much richer this world is because she was here. My prayers are with her family now, and for my birthday sister herself, it's just one more time, "You go, girl!" because now she's enriching heaven, too.

Thanks for posting, C. Di was such a light for Jesus and a bright spot in our lives. She was a true friend, and we'll all miss her so much. She was ready to go, though, and knowing she's not suffering anymore is a relief. She loved Jesus so much and, just as she was here on earth, she is right where God wants her to be.

Diann was such a precious, precious person. I'm glad she is out of pain, but I hurt for all who loved her and will miss her.

Di had such a large role in my life. Besides her sense of humor, which was as whacked as mine (that's what drew us together) she influenced my writing. But most of all, Di influenced my prayer life. I wrote her right after the doctors sent her home. I wanted her to know her impact on me, and I'm so glad I did.

I know she's running all over Heaven, laughing and peeking inside the mansions. :)

A memory of Diann. I'd love to read comments from other friends of Diann--incidents they recall with laughter. Mine is from an ACFW pre-conference class with Donald Maas. Diann and I were sitting next to each other as he told us to write down the strongest heroine we know. Later, during a break, we shared what we'd written. She and I had both written Colleen's name down as our strongest heroine.

Diann loved her children and grandchildren so very much--and we could all see how much she loved Jim. when Amber did the photography for ACFW, Diann sat out there helping her all through the conference, wearing her headcovering after chemo took her hair.

Diann's writing always lifts my spirits. We've lost a wonderful sharer of God's love and His truth. She did it with love and laughter. May her words go out across the world and continue to draw others to Him, and may her movie touch the hearts of millions the way she always touched ours.

Diann's beautiful legacy will whisper God's love to hearts on this earth even as she walks among the angels.

Sending prayer and hugs to you ladies who were so close to Diann and ache so deeply her loss.

Praying for the family whose loss is so great.

Praying for the souls who will yet read her stories and watch her movie that God would bring healing to hearts who are lost without Him.

I am sad at the loss of such a sweet, God fearing woman who gave such a wonderful testimony as she dealt with this adversity. A woman of strong faith, a woman who loved her family and friends and will be missed so much by us all. She impacted more lives than she knew. I rejoice in her reunion with her Lord and Savior, free of pain and healed of all illness. She will never be forgotten.

I'm very sorry to hear of Diann's homegoing. I know how much all of you loved her and I'm sure her family is feeling a deep sense of loss.

I will be praying for her family and friends in the next few weeks, at times our grief can come over us when we least expect it. Jesus is the way we can have peace, even in sorrow.

I'm so thankful she knew Jesus and is now healed! My daughter also suffered for years and her birthday is right after Christmas. She has been gone for ten years and I know I will see her again.

Thanks so much for letting us know. She will be missed but I look forward to her book being a movie in July! Her words will bless so many in the years to come.

I never had the privilege to meet Diann but I felt I knew her through this blog, her work and the love that you all have for her.

I'm praying for each of you and all her family that God will lift you up at this time and comfort you. It's always hard to lose someone to death here on earth, but I hope the knowledge that she is with the Lord now and without pain can be of comfort to you. To know that this is not the end and that one day we'll see Diann again.

My prayers and blessings to you,
Cindy Woolard
