BOOKSIGNING BLAST
Colleen and I participated in the best booksigning this past Saturday at the Carpenter's Son in West Lafayette, IN. Those people know how to do a booksigning!
Adding to the excitement, Cara Putman was signing her first novel, Canteen Dreams, and sold out--she didnt even have a copy left to sell me. And I thought we were friends.
Colleen, who had many readers coming around to meet her, hand-sold tons of copies of Surrender Bay. I would've sold about two without her unbridled enthusiasm. Authors Brandt Dodson and Jamie Carie also participated and it was wonderful to meet them.
If you've never been to a booksigning, I encourage you to go next time a favorite author is in your town. The retailers usually offer a nice discount on the book, you get a signed copy, and you might even make a few friends in the process.

I don't think anyone comes to my little town for book signings. Course, I wouldn't know where to look for that kind of info either.
Maybe I'll have to drive to Indiana?
Sounds like a GREAT time and I love the picture. Y'all look beautiful.
Congratulations on a GREAT day!
Love, Rachel
It was such fun! Thanks for making the drive, gals!
Ladies, you look gorgeous. Congrats on a fun-filled and successful signing!
Glad it went so well!!! =) Fantastic pic!! I agree with Rachel, you girls look great!!
Cute pic! I love that you did this one together. I've done quite a few signings this year and my favorites were the ones with other authors. Helps with the nerves, you know? lol...
And thanks for encouraging people to come out to these events. Katie Cushman and I recently went to see Karen Kingsbury, and ended up meeting her and getting loads of advice. So fun.
p.s. I loved Surrender Bay. I'm sure you would have sold more than 2 ;)
PS your book is in the mail :-)

It was WAY fun, D. Even if I did start to get shingles that night. I bet it was the excitement that triggered them. LOL
Oh that would be so cool. i live in a small town and we dont get booksignings here. I have been to a couple in the city for sports stars (cricketers).
We dont have a huge amount of Australian Christian Authors but i hope that does change soon.
Have you thought of coming to Australia and doing some book signings????? i would try and make it exspecially if it was Adelaide.
So, when are any of you coming to Oklahoma City?
LOVED the picture! You guys look like you had a blast! WOO HOO on Cara selling out of books!
