SPRING BREAK?

It might be a break, but it's definitely not Spring around here. At 35 degrees, it's closer to winter break than spring, and here I am in Indiana with big plans.

Oh, yeah, big plans this week. Clean out the attic, catch up on cleaning, groceries (which will last about 4 hours in this house), and writing. Hopefully, we can work in a movie and a fun thing or two, but no big trip for us this week.

I'd really love to hear about your big plans. A trip to Florida, a jaunt to New York, a Caribbean cruise? Go ahead, rub it in. No, really, I want to hear. Make me feel like I'm there in sunny Florida soaking up sun and smelling cocoa butter. Meanwhile, I'll just flick on my heat lamp and pretend.

Heat lamp?! (LOL). Nope. I can't rub it in. Sorry. :) Our spring break starts next weekend and my plans sound like yours--cleaning, grocery shopping, letter writing, etc.

Stuck in Ohio, looking at snow. Again.

Planning laundry and housecleaning today. Dentist this afternoon.

But...I've lived here long enough to know we don't get spring til May anyway. *sigh* :-)

My great plans sound like yours. I have a cleaning list a mile long. More than I will ever get done on my break. The boys are going next Sunday to a grandparents over night. I hope to use Monday to get a lot of cleaning done. Then we can catch a movie one day. We will do a bit of shopping for new dress shirts for the boys. Then on Friday the other set of grandparents are coming and that ends the week. Nothing very exciting. Just looking forward to some reading time and game playing. Told the boys I want to rent a couple of wii games. They were surprised. LOL

Wow. Looks like maybe we need the word verification - the spammers have discovered you!

Our spring break was two weeks ago. After some miscellaneous shopping and stuff around here with my 2 teenagers, I ended with a bang at the Christian Book Expo!!

Our spring break was last week and we planned a "staycation" because of the economy.

Last Sunday we started out by going to see the show CATS in Indy and my daughter got sick so we left early. She was sick all week and we finally took her to the doctor and she's got Strep.

We did get more take-out than usual, giving me a break. The "boys" went to a movie. I was able to sneak in some writing activities.

Honestly, it was a bummer week, but sometimes it goes like that. We'd been spoiled by going away a lot so we all needed a reality check that airline tickets don't grow on bushes. LOL

I hate to rub it in, I really do, but it's been 70 plus here the last few days. Not a cloud in the sky and I am so grateful. I'm not able to deal with weather, I'd be a mess.

Our break isn't until later this month and we're going to the City to see "Wicked" and a comedy show while the kids are at Grandma's. : )

No plans for a trip anytime soon. Unless I come into a windfall.

I guess staycations are the hot thing. Clearly I'm not alone.

I've actually been trying to think of someone who'd like to switch houses with me for a week or so. I think that might be a cheap way to get away. Just need to be sure I can trust said person (and that they can trust me!)

A few weeks ago I took some classes for travel agents. Of course the classes were on a cruise ship going to Mexico from LA.It is a tough job, but someone has to do it. It was so nice to get warm after the long cold winter we have had in Oregon.

If anyone wants to get warm next January I have organized a cruise with Angela Hunt and Lori Copeland and the Heavenly Dazers. We still have a couple of cabins available.
