Girls Write Out
Thursday, November 06, 2014
I'm giving away 3 advanced copies of "The Wishing Season"! Advanced copies are used for the express purpose of spreading the word about a book so . . .

Here's how to enter:

Leave a message telling me how you'll help promote "The Wishing Season" when it releases (Dec. 9). Will you write a review on Amazon, host a book club, or chat it up on Facebook and Twitter? Be as creative as you like!

Be sure and leave your email address.
Open to US and Canada residents only.

I'll choose 3 winners on November 9.

"The Wishing Season" is a "...sparkling contemporary tale of competing ambitions, wounded personalities, and powerful attraction." Publisher's Weekly

THE WISHING SEASON

Spirited PJ McKinley has the touch when it comes to food. Her dream of opening her own restaurant is just one building short of reality. So when a Chapel Springs resident offers her beloved ancestral home to the applicant with the best plan for the house, PJ believes it’s a contest she was meant to win.
Contractor Cole Evans is confident, professional, and swoon-worthy—but this former foster kid knows his life could have turned out very differently. When Cole discovers the contest, he believes his home for foster kids in transition has found its saving grace. All he has to do is convince the owner that an out-of-towner with a not-for-profit enterprise is good for the community.
But when the eccentric philanthropist sees PJ and Cole’s proposals, she makes an unexpected decision: the pair will share the house for a year to show what their ideas are made of. Now, with Cole and the foster kids upstairs and PJ and the restaurant below, day-to-day life has turned into out-and-out competition—with some seriously flirtatious hallway encounters on the side. Turns out in this competition, it’s not just the house on the line, it’s their hearts.

I would love to read this book! I would write about it on my blog, make it one of the monthly reads at the book club I go to, and talk it up at our church library where I am the buyer.

I will post a review on at least three places and on pinterest, I would on twitter, but I can only use twitter when it part of an entry (like on the scavenger hunts). I don't know how to just randomly use it. The book would then go to the library. The library director is less likely to purchase Christian fiction than any other. Most of that collection has been donated.

I really enjoy the Chapel Springs series. I currently run a teen/young adult book club with my friends through Skype so I will suggest we read the book through that. This way you would be able to get more reviews.

I'd also leave a reveiew on Amazon and Goodreads (if i can remember my password). I will also mention it on my FB profile and twitter as well as making a post on my instagram. Plus I'd leave you a nice note on your FB page as well.

I do also have my own blog on my website, thejsisters4.weebly.com, and i would post a review there. I'm actually about to start a "new" segment of book reviews both on my blog and on my YouTube channel as well. I also have a family friend who is a librarian so I may be able to help get it on the shelves there.

I shall start a blog about book reviews (something I've been thinking about doing for a while). And I will write a raving review of your latest book! Oh and normally I end up sitting in some book store floor while reading a book and when people come my way and look lost, I can't help but feel bad for them! "I want to buy a book for my sister-in-law's daughter's best friends's cousin's former roommate and I just don't know what to get them!" I'll calmly look up from my book into their expectant face and ask, "Have you heard about Denise Hunter?"

This is what I shall do.

Email: bmegno5@ymail.com

Thank you for your consideration. And regardless of whether I am chosen or not, I'll still probably end up on some bookstore floor with a copy of this book, too enthralled to wait the 15 minutes it'll take to purchase said book and drive home before I dig in.

I love this series and all of your other books! If I were to win, I would post a review on Goodreads and Amazon. Along with my review, I would pick a few of the quotes that I find most helpful in my walk with Christ and post them on Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. I did this with the last book in this series. I would also suggest this book and the rest of the series to any of my friends that are looking for a good, clean Romance to read.

I am so excited for this opportunity to win this book!

Afterwards, I will conquer social media by posting my review on twitter, Facebook, Google+, Avid Readers of Christian Fiction (FB Group), and Pinterest. I enjoy creating graphics using Pickmonkey.com to share my favorite book quotes on Pinterest.

Then, I will go where the readers go Goodreads, Shelfari, Novel Crossing, and BookFun.org. Books that I love, I nominate for Book of the Month on BookFun.org.

To top it off I will recommend the title to the Central Arkansas Library System.
