Now THAT is what you call a faithful reader! No one sends ME socks. Sob.
I think you have to write about COLD feet. Well, come to think about it, you do write about cold feet--DEAD, cold feet. LOL
Well there you go then! Those corpses need socks!
How awesome!! Great to connect writer heart to reader heart!!

It's nice to know that authors like hearing from their readers. I'm on the other side - a voracious and somewhat fanatical reader! I've always thought authors must get overrun with fan mail/e-mail. So even when I would visit an author's website, I hesitated to send a note despite the encouragement to do so. I thought, "Goodness! They don't want to hear me gush and blubber on and on about how much I just LOVE their books." LOL! I'm actually serious! Reading is one of things I'm most passionate about and get me started and it's hard to stop!
Okay, I'll stop. But really, it's nice to know that y'all like to hear from us readers. That's all.
Are you kidding me, Shauna?? We LIVE for hearing from readers. LOL
Oh, Shauna, hearing from our readers is right up there with eating chocolate truffles!!! So start writing, girlfriend!!! *g*
What a sweetheart! Sigh. I hope I get a response that sweet when I am famous like you, Diane! Okay, so I'll probably never be famous like ya'll, but anyway maybe my one fan will send me socks or something. Or roses! Hey, there are rose gardens in my book.
That's the coolest! Er, I mean warmest, Diann! Someone recently sent me a congrats card with my book cover on the front. Another gal made a bookmark for me out of the cover. All these creative and giving people ROCK!
Hey, Tina! I am no where near famous, but I certainly am blessed to have someone make me such beautiful socks!
Julie, how cool! It just amazes me how thoughtful and creative these readers are! What a blessing!!!
Chocolate is always a good thing, too. *g*
"What's not to love about this job," is a great quote. I so look forward to getting published. The ability to conect with so many readers just seems like a blast. Not sure what sort of gifts I'd get...my size 16 feet would need a lot of extra yarn...
I'm so glad that you like them! :) I know you've had more than a chance to use them this winter. It was totally my pleasure and it made me happy to knit them for you. Enjoy!
Sheesh, not fair. You gals get chocolate and warm sockies from your readers.
I get body parts.
Brandylin...so...what becomes of these gifts?
I suppose that when I'm published someone will have to figure out a way to send me a swirling vortex that leads to another dimension.
Hey, Brandilyn, maybe she could throw in some feet with those socks! LOL!
That's awesome, Di! And pretty, too!
LOL, C and Brandilyn......hmmm, my mind's already working on what would be the perfect gift for writers who kill off people. LOL
Di, I'll bet you're tres chic! Snerk.
Uh, Brandilyn, are those floating body parts? ;)
Loving those socks! And I'm not even a sock-kinda gal.
I'm with Shauna. I always feel weird sending notes/emails saying "Loved the book."
An FYI . . . don't think there's been I book of any of yours that I haven't really enjoyed. {grin}
Size 16, Allen? Something tells me it's not easy for you to tiptoe into a room, am I right?
We thank you for the encouragement, Heather!
I loved your book! I'm not exactly in the "target" audience of your book but it didn't matter! The laughter the book brought me won my heart :)
It was also nice to read a book which plot is in a nice warm place while I am in Canada stuck in mounds of snow! :P
