Girls Write Out
Thursday, May 01, 2008
Oh my gosh, I saw this on the news today. Babies dropped in a good luck ritual. They said in 500 years no babies have been hurt, but I'm telling you, it's the scariest thing to watch. I can't imagine handing my baby over for this:

That's absolutely crazy. What in the world is happening with people?

I just can't imagine any mother would let it happen, can you?

That would be fun for ME, but there is no way I would ever allow my child to be tossed like a sack of potatoes. And did you notice? They catch the kids on the first bounce! They don't even hit the sheet again.

Whom do you trust more? The guy tossing the baby, or the one catching him? Ugh. Happy I don't live in India.

Ugh. I wouldn't want to be thrown from that high -- why do it to your infant? And how do the mothers know that their child will survive a fall like that? The people who are supposed to catch the baby might miss; or the guy who tosses it might let the baby slip... There's just so much that could go wrong there.

That is horrendous. Did you see that those babies were crying? Poor things.

This is plain crazy. What is wrong with a Mother who would put her child at risk. I waited so late in life to have children they were so important. I would have put myself in front of them, over them, whatever to protect them. It's a sick world.

One of the sickest things I've ever seen.
