It's always exciting when I get a new cover. We've been tweaking my "brand" look, softening it a bit and making sure the title is great. This is the cover for a new Rock Harbor book called Cry in the Night. (Duh) What do you think?

Ooo, I like it, only I can't read the text under the title.

Thanks Ruth! It says: A Rock Harbor Novel under the title.

Oh, I like it. It looks cool and crisp there.

Down in Texas the only relief we get is looking at something cool! :o)

I love it. Colleen! And I am SOOOO excited for another Rock Harbor book. Those weren't too scary for this big honkin' chicken...unlike some of your more recent books. : )

I need to send you a copy of Anathema, Deb! It's not too scary. LOL

I really like it, Colleen. The girl looks like she's about to embark on an adventure with the sun about to set. The woods look mysterious and beaconing . . .

Oh, it's just inviting.

A prisoner of hope,
Megan

It's bright and I love the blue. Now, if it's scary, I probably wouldn't read it though. I'm sorry ~ I don't want to hurt your feelings. I'm alone too much of the time with my husband out of town.

Funny how we change. I use to love scary movies when I was younger. Not any more!

I feel like such a poophead. I love everything about the cover . . . except the girl. I dunno why. Maybe I just like to build my own image.

Won't stop me from buying it though!

It's nice, Colleen ... but I'll still know it's scary.

Bwaaack bwaaack.

I'm with Peg. I like the cover in general but there is something about that girl. . . . I can't explain it. Just personal preference I guess. That wont' stop me from reading that book. :)

Andrea and Peg, did you read the Rock Harbor books? This girl is exactly the Bree I've had in my head for eight years. It's amazing how they matched her!

Glad the rest of you like it! I'm thrilled with it!

Oooh! Awesome. It's quite a bit softer in color than many of your previous covers. Love the blue.

And I'm with Deb. Your Rock Harbor books have been manageable for this BHC too. :)

My buddy, Kim Woodhouse, told me I just HAVE to read Anathema, and she's going to loan me her copy. Heards lots of great things. But congrats on this new release.

I kinda like not seeing the face of a character on the cover, it gives me the chance to build them in my own mind. However, knowing that you see Bree just like this face makes it a little different.

I love the cool blue, and the trees playing with the shadows. Love it.

I need to go back and read the Rock Harbor series from the beginning. From "Abomination", I seriously can see the woods. This is pretty close. :-)

Love the cover, C. It foreshadows suspense without being all dark and twisty. :-)

Oh, it's beautiful! The woman on the cover looks just like Bree -- even her eyes. I can't wait to read it.

Weeeelllll....honestly.....I love it! But I think it's deceptive. No one will know what lurks beneath that attractive cover....
bwahahahahahahahahahahahaha........and when will I get a copy for review...hmmmm, pray tell???

I LOOOOOVE ITTTTT!!!! YEAH!!! I'm doing somersaults. (I just got home from Colorado vacation and was met with this great teaser pic of the next PREORDER Colleen Coble book!)

My one comment is that there needs to be more contrast between the girl's chin and her neck. Her neck needs to be darkened ever so slightly so that it doesn't blend into her chin so much. Other than that, I think it looks very nice.
