I’m practically giddy with relief! I just finished edits for Be Sweet (release date, June 2007), I’m supposed to get my author copies of Hot Tropics & Cold Feet this week (due in the stores next month!), and my Christmas shopping is almost finished!!! Whoohoooo!!!! A few days of relaxation are just in view AND I have a gift certificate for a massage waiting on me (from my birthday in August!). I LOVE to reward myself with a massage at the end of edits on my latest book. Course, I don’t always get to do that, but I love it when I do!

This time of year can get overwhelming, so it’s nice to kick back a little in the midst of the crazy and remind yourself why you’re doing what you’re doing.

Anyway, how is everyone out there doing? Christmas shopping done? Finished your work in progress yet? Meet your deadlines? Hiding in a closet, stuffing yourself with chocolate? We’re here for you—if you share the chocolate.

I admit I felt like hiding in a closet last week, and there was a little chocolate-stuffing going on, but I'm almost there! A few stocking items and shopping for Kevin and I'm DONE!

I love the idea of treating yourself to a massage after completing a difficult task. I think I'll adopt that. I used to be too practical to pay for such luxury but I've realized it's important to be kind to yourself. Congrats of finishing that up!

I'm finishing up my Christmas shopping tonight. And I'm in the homestretch of edits on Abomination. My reward is my baby girl coming home on Sunday. :-)

I get as close to a massage as a pedicure, but I love them!

Hey, I thought I was getting an ACR of Hot Tropics!!!

Hi Diann!
Congrats on sending off Be Sweet! For the holidays, we're headed to my family in Louisiana, then over to Georgia to the hubby's family, then back home to Florida, all in nine days. Lots of car riding and sock knitting..and yes, it includes your socks! They're second up after I finish my sisters so you should have them hopefully by the time the book is on the store shelves. Merry Christmas!

I'm done with Christmas shopping - just have a scarf left to make and send off. I made straight As this semester even in Arabic. I just secured at a job at campus for next semester. My family is healthy. I'm going to Anaheim on January 2nd. AND I'm getting a boyfriend for Christmas! :)

Best Christmas ever, I'm thinking.

Only 4 days left of school and then we have off for two weeks! Yippee! Of course, between now and Friday I have about 20 sets of papers to grade, all my lessons to plan, photocopying, tests to write, etc., etc. I hope I make it without collapsing....Gasp! Gasp! Where's the chocolate...?! In the closet?!

Maybe two weeks off will help me remember the positive aspects of the classroom.

Anways...congratulations on finishing your edits! That's just great!! :0)

Just finished wrapping the presents, had an early Christmas today with my husband and got some very special gifts ... no chocolate, but he'll learn ... and now am settling in with a good book in front of our wood fireplace. A cup of cinnamon spice tea will top this evening off ... yep ... gotta run!
