Girls Write Out

Last week Kevin moved his home improvement store into a new, bigger building. For the past 4 months, he's worked like a dog to transform a huge furniture store into a home improvement showcase. He's worked long hours, handled countless details, and endured many nights of stress.

But last week was the grand opening. All his hard work and sacrifice have paid off, a dream has come to fruition. Our family has missed him as he's poured himself into this new phase, but we knew it was only for a short time and cheered him to the finish line, because that's what families do. We cheer each other on to reach our goals and dreams.

Sometimes we're the ones being cheered, other times, it's our turn to lead the rally. We all need people in our lives to support our dreams. Who are you supporting? Who is cheering you on to the finish line?

Denise,
That looks really neat! Congratulations on reaching the finish line. Yeah!

I love the reminder. I think I cheerlead my kiddos and my hibby, but have to wonder if I don't often slip into quiet support. Have to wonder if that translates all the time. Probably not... Thanks for such a great picture of being there for each other as a family!

BTW, just finished Seaside Letters! (Ummm, girls got to play "a while" at McD's on Friday afternoon because of it). Loved the portrayal in Tucker.

Congrats again to your family!

That would be HUBBY, not hibby. :-)

That's really cool! Congrats. At first I thought 'wow-some kids is really lucky having a cool town to play in.'
Dreams do come true!! Happy for him.

Denise, that looks like a fun place to visit. I think you encouraged the right dream for him. It means a lot to have someone encourage you in your efforts, and there are people who do that naturally. Just notice how many people flock around those natural encouragers, and you see how desperately everyone needs a helpful, uplifting word.

Beverly, so glad you enjoyed "Seaside Letters"!

Lisa, the store is on Washington Center Road next to The Guesthouse.

You're so right, Cheryl!

I've been married to my hubby for almost 49 years and it looks as if you support yours.
Would like to be entered into the drawing for a free book this month.

Wow, that's awesome! Congrats to Kevin and the Hunter family! I'd hire him if he lived in Florida! And if I had money... :)

Blessings on this new venture!

Love, R

Hi Denise --

I wish this store was in Texas!!

I guess I have always been the encourager. In thinking about who encourages me, I guess I would have to say Jesus. I know that isn't a tangible person but living far from family and my best friends, I have turned to Him more and more.

Thanks for the great questions!
Cheri
