When I look for a book, I am usually very influenced by the cover. I first look for authors I've read before, but if I'm going for something new, I look to find either a scenery picture that shows somewhere I'd like to visit (in this case, a mental visit) or situations that I would like to read about. I also like it when a cover doesn't show faces - I feel like when they do, it puts an idea into your head and you can't get away from that idea. I like to come up with my own image of the characters as I read. Your cover looks great Denise!
Looks like a great book to take on a summer vacation! (I love to read on vacation)
I too, enjoy a book cover that doesn't completely show their faces (at least the hero anyway). I like imagining them my way in my head. I enjoy a scenic background as well.
Although you should never judge a book by its cover, I have to admit sometimes I do. Thomas Nelson does an excellent job with their book covers. It's very rare that one of theirs doesn't jump off the store bookshelf at me.
Can't wait to get my hands on this one!
Ditto on the no-faces covers, Emilie and Candice! I prefer to imagine them myself.
WOW!! I love this cover, Denise! Sheesh you're pumping books out so fast I can't keep up! :) LOL (btw, all my 4 sil's are avid readers of yours now that I intro'd them to you and since they can't all read my copies at the same time, they're buying them!) LOL
