Good for you, Colleen. A new "do" can make you feel so good.
For what it's worth, I think I prefer #108.
Have fun and enjoy!
It's kind of cute and flippy, isn't it, Valerie? Thanks for your input!!
I also like #108 or #22. Very cute. I like hairstyles that flip out a bit--so when you're caught out on a windy day, no one can tell the difference!
I think the last one looks great on you!
#22. That's my vote. It's spunky, like you! :)
I like 22 or 108. Very cute.
i like 22 myself
I like number 108(the last one). :)
I really like the last one :o)
Boy it's all coming down between the last one and #22, isn't it? Ames likes 22.
Thanks for your input, folks, Keep 'em coming!
I totally agree with all the ladies--22 and 108. They both really emphasize your fantastic high cheek bones. Have fun!!

I like the first one, although it looks like a lot of work.
oops, tried this once and it didn't go through. I like 22. And hubby CJ said he likes 108. :)
Oh a man's view too? Thank CJ, Lynette! LOL
Oh Suzanne, I just looked at the styling guide and you're right. That first one is a lot of work!
I like 22 and 108 also, but I think you could get both looks from # 22. Just flip it out a bit and there you go.
Have fun!
I vote for #22. Have fun!
#22!!
Number 22!!! That's it. It'll look so good on you, Colleen.
Number 22! 108 looks good too, but 22 has a more choppy bit that highlights your features.
108.
I vote for #108. It's kind of sassy but not over the top. :-)
Boy the two are just running neck and neck! Kay, you might be right--maybe I could do both those with the same cut. I'll ask my hairdresser.
You friends are great!
What I actually said was I would love her regardless of her hair style. Long hair will always be my choice, but I will not leaving her if she cuts it shorter. I think all the cuts she has there make her look older. LOL!
I like #108. And it looks easy to maintain with a little bit of product and some fingers run through it.
I don't know you, obviously, but I think 108 is the cuter haircut. I don't know why Thomas Nelson is wanting a new picture though - the one on your website looks great! Of course, I don't know how long ago you took it.
Seems like if they're wanting to really promote the suspense, they'd want a picture of you screaming! LOL
If forced to choose from all of these styles, I would vote for 108. It's fun and spunky, but could be styled straighter to look like #8 if you wanted it to. I'm all about versatility!
I didn't know I had multiple personalities. Who's the other Melanie?
I say the all look great but stay away from the ones with long bangs that supposedly sweep to the side. That's what I have, and I spend half my tiime pushing my hair out of my face so I can read and edit.
I love how it looks, hate how it functions.
I vote for 108. I took a good look and Think that one is you! Happy new hairstyle!!
I like #22 also. I can't wait to get my own new style next month. I'm 28 and I'm going to dye my hair for the very first time...it should be interesting. Enjoy yourself!
i dont know either 22 or 108
both look good.
This week i have been thanking my hairdresser for cutting about 1 and a half inches of my hair not half like i wanted cos we have had a heatwave! one of the longest heatwaves in our area on record and exspecially for march.
so the shorter hair was wonderful.
So Melanie, from your comment you don't like any of them all that much? LOL Neither did Dave.
Thomas Nelson loves that picture but it IS five years old and it looks maybe a little too friendly with the posture. LOL
I think you look great now. But I do like 22 and 108. I'm not much help am I? :)
Course, I'm pretty much a wash and go kind of gal myself.
Can't wait to see what you choose.
I like #22 and #108. Those look like YOU. :o)
Here are my votes in order:
1. #9
2. (Tie) #108/#22
Throw out #7 and #8
I like 9 because it is like your style now, a little shorter and more stylized. Looks like it would work if you decided to grow it back out, too. It works with your great cheekbones and eyes, and with a black tailored top or blazer, I could see you being more "sinister." (LOL)Is it even possible for you not to smile? (ROTFL)
You have such great coloring and cheekbones, have you ever thought of wearing a great chunky turquoise necklace? Doing more western style cuts in your tops, jackets?
I will say this--#8 is very sophisticated and would look fabulous with more tailored clothes--but would it drive you crazy? (I would be forever tucking the hair behind my ears...)
I like the windblown, casual, romantic suspense look of 9, but only if that is your style.
I need a new hairdresser and I'm just sick about it. Sigh. The other styles are something like I would wear with my super straight hair and being so "cute." I sometimes get tired of "cute," but I will say this for those styles--you can get up and go and not do much at all with your hair (depending on your texture.)
Now tell us what your thoughts are on each and we can't wait to see what you do!
I love turquoise, Crystal. I went through a phase where i wore it a lot--and western stuff. LOL Maybe I should go that way again.
I was looking for something easy to care for that would take advantage of my wavy hair. Dave hates all these. LOL
OK first of all, you look a lot nicer (and younger) than the drawing.
#108 is nice. Flippy-do's are very becoming.
Page, I could kiss you! LOL My husband said these all made me look old. Maybe it's the drawing! LOL
I like #9, because it is softer looking, but you could do that with #108, too. Curlers are a good friend to a girl.
Best to flip out, not leave it long and lanky. Long and covering your face do not help you look happy. (i.e. not what the publisher would like from you)
I would say also go a warm, slightly redder brown. But that is what I would do with my own very dark brown hair. Don't frost it, just lighten a bit. If color is your thing.
22 -- looks like least work and has some fun layers in it. Blow and go is my mantra!
You know this means you MUST post an after photo once you get it done. :)
I think that either #22 or #108 would look the best - I think its because the hair flips out and so it makes you look more open - the hair cuts where the hair is flipped or curving your face makes you look more conservative and stand - off ish.
22 and 108.
BTW, you are so gorgous with such GREAT hair!
Rachel
I really like #22 oe #108. Very playful and youthful.
How fun for you!!! Make sure we get to see a pic of you when you get back from the hairdressers.
Katie from Albuquerque
I like 22 the best, but I also like #8, and it looks like it might be low maintanence. I love low maintanence!!
Kristen
Tomorrow's the big day, friends! Thanks for all your help. I'll reveal it on my post on thursday!
I'm probably too late, but I like #22.
