I echo your comments. I want to thank my nephew, Scott, who has been in the Middle East and is going back for another tour of duty. Thank you, thank you, thank you, to those of you who serve our country so faithfully and at great sacrifice.
We love you and pray for you!!!
I agree, Colleen! I am so thankful for all of our men and women in service for our country! My oldest son is leaning towards the military when he graduates in a year and a half. I had some mixed emotions when he first told me that, but I'll be proud of him and support him no matter what he decides.
Blessings
Michelle

My dad was in the Army during Vietnam. My 19-year-old cousin recently completed Marine boot camp and is now in Missouri for his specialized schooling.
I just up a prayer for safetly and comfort for your nephew. Let's make sure to keep all our soldiers in our prayers!

Colleen:
My Dad was in WWII and Korea War. I got my school shots on a Marine Corps base. My husband was in the Navy,he is considered a Vietnam Era veteran. Had he re-enlisted, he would have been sent to Vietnam. Dad died on June 5th. Strange part of it is my stepfather, a veteran of WWII died on June 3rd. We really do need to thank and honor our soldiers, sailors and air men for what they do.
YAY to all our soldiers!!! I am so grateful that they give me the right to be free. I want your nephew home soon so he can enjoy it too! And his beautiful wife.
Colleen, there IS something about a man in uniform, lol. Way back when I was first married at age 19 I spent a year at Beaufort, SC after my first husband returned from Vietnam.
My second husband also served in Vietnam and received two purple hearts from two separate, fairly severe injuries. So many came back from that war changed forever.
My dad served in WWII but did not see combat, either. I am so sorry for those of you who have lost your dads. At 88, my dad has just been diagnosed with a blocked main artery and they are deciding on the risks/benefits of surgery.
I am so thankful at the caliber of our service people today. They are serving in a world with a new type of war, and I pray God's protection over your nephew and all those serving as well as for their families who are coping at home.
